"And those who know Your name
will put their trust in You." (Ps. 9:10)

Is it possible for finite man to know his infinite Creator in a personal way? The overwhelming testimony of Scripture is “Yes!”

This study focuses on some of God’s names and titles given in the Old Testament and how each one revealed a particular aspect of His character. The biblical record allows us to share in that revelation and to make personal application to our own circumstances.

Knowing God’s name will increase our trust in Him. Like the psalmist we will learn to say, “And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; for You,Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.”

Each lesson will take us into either the lives of individuals or the corporate nation of Israel and conclude with a study of Jesus Christ, who is “the express image” of God (Heb. 1:3) and who declared by attitude, word, and deed, the whole and wonderful Name of God.

Mary King was a keen Emmaus student back in the seventies and her familiarity with the style of the correspondence courses and her own Bible studies led her to write ‘The Three Marys’ and offer it to Emmaus UK for publication. It was accepted and so began a long association with Emmaus, with her husband Barry becoming a member of the board of trustees in England. Retired now, Mary and her husband live in Plymouth, Devon, UK and are part of an active assembly in the city.
